- The executive steering committee is responsible for the overall governance of the consortium. It provides strategic direction for the consortium objectives and sets the policies on consortium operations. This committee consists of representatives from each partnering institution. Unanimous approval of all committee members is required before adding new member institutions to the consortium or their representatives to this committee. The committee is composed of the consortium chair, vice-chair, and members.
- The consortium chair will be elected by the executive steering committee with a majority vote for a term of two years.
- The consortium chair or committee members will nominate the vice-chair and directors for the cancer relevant committees, and they will be confirmed by majority vote. There are no term limits for the vice-chair or other committee members. However, if the consortium chair, vice-chair, or members are unable to fulfil their roles on the committee, they may step down after nominating a suitable replacement from their own institution.
- Past chairs and vice-chairs are encouraged to serve on the committee as ex-officio members for two years to provide continuity in policy and direction to the consortium. Ex-officio members can attend meetings, debate, and make a motion, but will not have voting privileges.
