In view of the broadening interest in lipids in general and sphingolipids in particular within members of our Chapters in various continents, GCC is forming an interest group for “Sphingolipids and Cancer”. This group may expand to lipids in cancer and associated co-morbidities. The group will integrate expertise among members of the different GCC Chapters and develop research and education programs that have translational relevance and clinical applications.
